The following advice is based on many years of experience. They are provided as a free service to our customers and visitors. However, is not responsible for any damage as a result of following any of these advice. You are welcome to distribute these tips free to your friends and associates as long as it's not for commercial purposes.

Translucent Desktop - (1) INSPECTION and PANEL REMOVAL

Your translucent desktop case has several plastic panels which should be removed before assembling your computer. The front bezel is the most delicate and following the instructions below will allow many removals without damage to its plastic tabs. For future accesses, only the single screw top panel needs to be removed.

1) Once unpacked, inspect the case for any damage; esp. the bezel. The website has a damage report form. 2) First, the top cover is removed by way of a single screw at the top back. The optional thumbscrew is shown here. 3) With your fingernails under the right side lip as shown, lift outward and upward using thumb as a lever.
4) When the right side releases, lift up and off. The left side releases easily. 5) Elevate the front by placing your rolled up power cord underneath as shown. 6) Starting at left, progressively bend up lip either side of tabs to release them.
7) Tilt top out about 30° while gently pulling outward. Vary the angle until tabs release. 8) Pull bezel wires through being careful not to chafe them on the metal edges. 9) Suggestion: Affix two squares of vinyl tape (one inside). Poke hole for wires.
10) Temporarily tape the bezel wires to the inside allowing "dry fitting" for lineup. (Wires are fed back through for the final lineup) 11) Remove two screws at rear of each side panel then lift them straight up. Note how the fingers engage inside. 12) Note the plastic tabs for the case fan cage inside. Removal is now easier. A cut filter may be taped over holes.

Poke out the three metal slugs in step 12 for better cooling. Clean filter with vacuum nozzle periodically by following steps 2-6.
You may now assemble computer hardware according to instructions on the reverse side without danger to the plastic panels.

Translucent Desktop - (2) HARDWARE INSTALLATION

Note: It will assumed at this point that the user is keenly aware of static discharge precautions. Continue only when you are fully familiar with these techniques. One small spark can render your hardware inoperable. Always turn screws CCW first until a click is felt...then tighten CW. Screws on plastic should only be "barely snug" and an included fiber washer or purchased nylon washer should be placed under screw's head.

13) Representatives of the included fastener hardware. The brass spacer at far right is for mounting the motherboard. 14) For any fastening task, finger-drive the screws first to insure the proper choice without stripping threads. 15) An adapter bracket is provided to mount a 3.5" drive in one of the 5.25" drive bays.
16) Flex the blanks you need to remove back and forth until the metal ears break. 17) Mark the positions of the motherboard mounting holes. Screw in the spacers. 18) Punch out slugs which block access such as the USB connector here.
19) Remove card blanks by lifting up with a screwdriver. Reinsert by snapping in. 20) Dry fit the front bezel then align drives to it. Secure the drive screws. 21) Dry fit the drive to bezel's eject eject button. Secure drive screws.
Cooling Note: This case is smaller in volume than towers, therefore extra cooling considerations should include: Rear duct fan, high quality CPU cooler, chipset cooler, temperature monitor, and bay cooling fans for mounting HD.
Mount your motherboard on the spacers with fiber washers. The CPU, fan, and memory should be mounted beforehand on a flat surface.

22) The optional duct fan pulls hot air away hot air away from CPU and chipset. 23) Engage left side first then the right side, then follow instructions above. 24) It's TRANSLUCENT!! LEDs, Cool Neon®... Experiment!!
