 1. Be careful when handling computer components. They can easily be damaged by static electricity. Always wear a grounding strap while handling components to avoid damage.

 2. Take caution when installing components not to over-tighten screws. Over-tightening of screws may strip pre-drilled holes.

Open the box and turn it upside down. Slowly pull the box off of the case. Set the case right-side-up on a sturdy surface and remove the side panel. The acrylic window is fairly soft and can scratch, so leave the protective covering on until you are ready to put the side panel back on. The right side panel is riveted and cannot be removed. The fasteners for the case are found in a compartment on the plastic PCI cover on the rear of the case.

The 5.25-inch bays are accessed by opening the small side door to the right of the bay covers, and then by applying light pressure on the drive covers. A single drive rail is used for each 5.25-inch device, to be attached on the right side of the 5.25-inch devices. The rails come attached to the metal RFI/knockouts in front of the 5.25-inch bays. Remove these as needed, and attach one rail to the right side of each 5.25-inch device, and from the front of the case slide the device into the back. The rail will lock it in flush with the front case bezel when properly placed. At least one fine-threaded screw should be used to anchor the device to the bay on the left side.

The 3.5-inch devices are installed in the removable drive cage. To remove the cage, push the lever towards the back of the case to release, and it will slide out. Install a floppy drive or other removable media drive in either of the top two positions on the cage, removing the plastic bay cover and metal knockout for each bay that will be used for removable media devices. 3.5-inch hard disk(s) are installed in the bays below any used for removable media devices. 3.5-inch hard disks may protrude more towards the back of the cage if fastened with four screws; they benefit from more air circulating around them. Replace the drive cage once all the devices are screwed in place.

Next the motherboard standoffs must be installed if they're not already in place. In addition, the I/O back-plate will probably need to be replaced with the one packaged with the motherboard. Finger pressure and tapping should be all that's necessary to remove or insert the back-plate. Use a flathead screwdriver if necessary.

Modern ATX motherboards typically attach with nine screws, so nine standoffs need to be properly screwed on the tray beforehand. Micro ATX motherboards typically have six screw attachments.

Install the CPU and memory before installing the motherboard. Attach the motherboard to all the standoffs with fine-threaded screws. You will need to nudge the motherboard into contact with.

the I/O back-plate during this process. The I/O back-plate has a grounding function so do not bend its contacts out of position. Once the motherboard is set properly use fine-threaded screws to fasten it to all the standoffs.

Attach the cooling fans to the power supply. They are provided with male and female molex connectors so they can be daisy-chained with other devices if needed.

The case has cable attachments for the speaker, power, reset, and hard disk LED. The cable color code is standard; black or white for ground, and other colors for data (positive). Refer to your motherboard manual for correct pin designations. Although nothing will be damaged by incorrect attachment, the results may be puzzling. Finally, the case has two front USB ports with attachments, and these are clearly marked to aid in matching the pin assignments found in your motherboard manual. Refer to your motherboard manual for more instructions to complete your system.
