The following advice is based on many years of experience. They are provided as a free service to our customers and visitors. However, Directron.com is not responsible for any damage as a result of following any of these advice. You are welcome to distribute these tips free to your friends and associates as long as it's not for commercial purposes.

Opening/Closing the Case:
Begin by removing the four screws in the back of the case with a Philips head screwdriver. The top to the case is simply one piece, pull up and back to remove it. This will also reveal a small hole top of the case that can be used as a handle. To replace the top simply set it back in place with about and inch between the front of the case and the front of the top, then slide it forward until the top is flush with the front of the case. Replace the four screws in the back of the case.

Mounting Motherboard in the Case:
Lay the case down so that the side so that the open side is facing up.

Make sure you have the correct I/O panel (the place where the motherboard connectors stick out of the board) for your motherboard; the default is standard ATX - which should work for 90% of motherboards. One other I/O panel is provided if you need additional ones they can be ordered from http://www.antec.com/ (select Service and Support and then I/O panels.)

Place your motherboard over the standoff holes and determine which ones you need to use, they are labeled A= ATX B=baby AT M= micro ATX. You will have extra holes and really only about 4 screws are needed. Screw in brass standoffs wherever they are needed, place your motherboard on top of them and and screw it in place with the provided Philips head screws - do not use any extra pressure to tighten then than needed.

Power Connectors:
ATX power supplies have a single 20-pin power connector (double row of 10 pins) it will only attach to the motherboard in one way, carefully connect it to the motherboard you should not have to use much pressure.

LED Connectors:
The main connectors you need to worry about are RESETSW, POWER LED, POWER SW, SPEAKER (optional), and HDD LED (connect to motherboard for IDE, usually to drive or SCSI card for SCSI). Please consult your motherboard guide for where to connect these, or look closely on your motherboard and you should be able to figure it out.

5.25" Drive Bay Installation:
You will see all of the 5.25" drive bays are covered by metal grills. To remove insert a screwdriver into them and push until the plastic front faceplate pops off. Next twist the metal grills back and forth until it breaks off. Install your 5.25" devices into the bays and attach with the supplied screws.

3.5" Drive Installation:
The top slot in the drive bay should be used for the floppy the other two are usually reserved for hard drives. To make thing easier you may want to remove the drive bay from the computer so that you can mount your drives into it. To do this, simply remove the one screw that is attaching it to the 5.25" drive bay and remove it from the case. You can now easily mount your drives and place screws on both sides for a more secure connection, this is especially important with drives that have high spin velocities (7200 or 10k RPM hard drives).

Overall this is a great case for a SOHO or Gaming machine. It has an easy install setup, and Antec makes quality cases.
